If you’ve never been to Egypt before you’re in for a tremendous experience that will test your stamina as a world traveler, but also be one of the most rewarding adventures of your life…because visiting Egypt is just that…an Adventure of a Lifetime! So do it right!
Given it’s your first time, let’s start with limitations. To see that best of Egypt from Cairo/Alexandria to Abu Simbel in the south at a leisurely pace- 7 days. The best way to see from north to south is to book a tour with a local tour company. We recommend contacting local, highly rated hostels and getting their recommendations for local tour companies to book with. They are usually the best value for your money!
From north to south can be done in 4 to 5 days, but one of the best ways to experience Egypt is a on a riverboat floating down the Nile! Taking the train is also an experience!
If you want an EPIC trip in a short amount of time, traveling to Cairo is great to experience the pyramids first hand for 1 or 2 days. Take a ride on the camels, and be sure to take those wonderful panoramic pics from the desert beyond the Pryamids. Also, be sure to book a ticket to walk through the inside of one of the pyramids. There are many local perfume shops and other specialty shops to visit around the Pryamids- take your time and stroll through the local area, but as always, be aware of your surroundings and stay safe.
Then travel southeast to Sharm El-Sheikh for 3 days, where you can snorkle and scuba dive at one of the top diving sights in the world. Check out the coral wall and dive down it’s length to 30 meters below…or dive towards the point and experience the rush!
Those are some quick recommendations for a first time visit to Egypt! Enjoy!

For places to stay in Sharm, we recommend Naama Bay- it’s a great little town within a town! Naama Blue Hotel is also a great place to stay! Try the breakfast, tell Wally we said Hi!

The Bunkers of Albania I've been in Albania for more than a month, and the issue of bunkers has been something I've been spinning in my head. Not because they have something weird, in fact they don't. They are cement, rods. Some bigger, some smaller. They are seen on the hills of the hills, against the roads, looking at the coast, among groves, on the side of houses, everywhere. If you see them from above they are like honguitos, some are vandalized, others graffitied, others painted with more art. In itself nothing strange, the craziest thing is that there are thousands, it is estimated that there are so many thousands And why are there so many?
